Go to the PRODUCTS tab on our home page to make your purchase. This area only explains how the on-line purchase works and is intended to help beginners understand what they are doing as well as what they are not doing when the purchase an appraisal on-line.

Note to lenders: Since June of 2001 residential real estate appraisal products cannot be ordered from certified appraisers by individuals or investors in the State of Illinois. Each lender must send us an order in some form of hard-copy for each appraisal product ordered. To make this easy most automated loan origination packages offer a Request for Appraisal form (Calyx Form reqap.frm 5/03 is most common) the form is pre-populated when the origination is completed in your system and this is our preferred means for taking appraisal orders via fax or e-mail.

HOMEOWNERS! It is important to note that this web-site is not a means for ordering an appraisal that should be done through personal contact from your lender to our office staff via fax or e-mail. Personal contact from your lending agent is necessary for our compliance with Illinois Appraisal Law. This web-site is a simple means for paying for the appraisal product which is usually the responsibility of the Borrower.

This is a better and more secure means of fees collection for our company and our clients.  We do not keep any of your important financial information so you can shop here with no worries. The industry standard payment method is cash-at-the-door to insure appraiser impartiality we cannot accept payment at the closing because some loans don't close. If you pay at the inspection you'll receive a hand written and signed receipt for your records. However it is more beneficial for YOUR record keeping to have the automated receipt generated from our shopping cart server. Like any receipt you can bring this to your closing to insure that you are not double billed but an automated receipt shows record with a federally regulated third party that you have defiantly paid.

For our clients that are simply not ready to use a credit card on-line we do offer the option to pay in cash at the inspection. You need only to return to our Home Page and select the Contact Us tab. There you can send an e-mail to our staff requesting to pay at the inspection via cash, money order, or other certified funds.

If you ARE ready to pay on-line using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express Card (all bank check cards with these logos are fully accepted) we have made every effort to make it easy with the detailed instructions below:

1) Go to the PRODUCTS tab on our Home Page

2) Scroll through the list of products we offer. For your convenience each of the products and report types has a short description of how it is used by your lender after you choose the add-to-cart feature which gives you plenty of time to change your selection. There are four general sections of product types:

(Full Reports) are the most commonly used report types and these appear first.

(Limited Reports) for special purpose transactions. These are generally used by institutions and banking clients and are not generally options chosen by individuals.

(Adjustments) cover fees for special addenda within full reports or services after completion of the initial reports.

(General Payment Options) this section of the products tab is for various payment amounts in denominations of $25, $50, and $100 for miscellaneous payments agreed between Hans-Appraisal and our clients. These options cover things like partial payments and discounts from regularly higher fees. 

Sometimes, through our mutual agreement, a general payment option can be selected and combined with a product form the less expensive limited reports section to total a discounted fee for a different product. Since this is only a payment venue and not an accounting program making combinations of products other than the one you have actually ordered or received does not suggest any impropriety. Please contact one of our staff to verify your negotiated payment amount before attempting any creative use of the General Payment Options.

3) Select the ADD TO CART tab after the product you want and you will be immediately taken to our secure shopping cart server. Review your selection by reading the short description of the product you have purchased. Select your payment type and go to the checkout section. You will be sent a confirmation of your purchase and so will we! It's that easy and it's guaranteed safe! The only personal information we receive about you is your name, your billing address, your billing phone number and an e-mail address if you choose to supply one.
